GoogleAnnounceAn AI-driven feature has been added to the desktop version of the Chrome browser, which allows online store pages to automatically display review summaries generated by artificial intelligence, helping users quickly judge the store's reputation and shopping risks, making online shopping more secure.
This feature is currently only available in the United States and English version. Users only need to click on the store icon on the left side of the URL bar to open the AI summary content that includes factors such as the store's overall reputation, product quality, reasonable pricing, customer service performance and return policy.
This information is generated by AI analyzing user reviews from multiple third-party review platforms, including Reputation.com, Reseller Ratings, ScamAdviser, Trustpilot, and other websites, and then generating a review summary that allows users to judge at a glance whether it is safe to consume in the online store they are browsing.
This feature is expected to enhance the online shopping experience of Chrome browser, and can also be seen as Google's further application of AI technology to e-commerce scenarios. Prior to this, Google has launchedAI Virtual Try-On, AI product recommendations and smart price tracking, to create a smarter search and shopping ecosystem.
Currently, this AI store review summary function does not support mobile devices, but Google said that it will consider expanding support for more platforms and languages in the future based on user feedback, thereby competing with Amazon and other companies in the online consumer market that integrate AI technology.
