Import complex semantic search to enhance content recommendation.
Compared to Google Assistant's relatively rigid command execution mode, Gemini for TV incorporates the contextual understanding capabilities of a large language model. Google gives the example that users will be able to make more complex search requests in the future, such as:
• Contextual Recommendation: "I like dramas, but my wife likes comedies. What movies can we watch together?"
• Plot Summary: What happened in the finale of the last season of Outlander?
• Popular Explorations: "What's that new medical drama everyone's been talking about?"
Beyond entertainment, it also supports knowledge explanations and YouTube tutorials.
Gemini for TV is not limited to audio-visual entertainment; Google emphasizes that this update also brings the learning experience to the largest screen in the home.
Users can ask Gemini for help with knowledge-based questions, such as: "Explain to my third-grade student why volcanoes erupt."
In addition, AI can also assist in guiding DIY projects or recipes, and will also include relevant YouTube videos for instruction in the response.
