Previously promised to bring the Gemini experience on the Android platform to the iOS platform, Google announced earlier that the "Circle to Search" function, which was originally only available on the Android platform, can now be used in the Chrome browser app and Google App on the iOS platform, allowing users to intuitively circle the screen with their fingers to search images through Google Lens technology, without having to use the previousShortcut SettingsImplement similar operations.
Due to the limitations of the iOS platform environment, this feature can only be used in Chrome and Google App on the iOS platform. However, based on the vast majority of usage habits, it will be more convenient to find information related to image content through the browser, thereby saving users the time required to compose descriptions, enter correct keywords, or the tedious process of having to take additional screenshots and then search with Google Lens.
Currently, users can enable the "Search the screen with Google Lens" feature through Chrome or Google App on iOS platforms. Google will also add a dedicated Google Lens button to the Chrome address bar in the future, making this feature easier to use.
This update also adds an AI Overview feature, which allows users to search for specific content or images through Google Lens and display related content at the same time through artificial intelligence, allowing users to browse more related information through a single search.
The "Circle Search" feature will be available for iOS devices worldwide in the near future, and the AI Overview feature will also be released soon, but will only be available in English.
