GoogleAnnounceThe Podcasts service, which has been launched since 2018, will cease operations next year, and all program content will be transferred to YouTube Music for more users to continue listening.
While content on Google Podcasts will remain unchanged for now, it's expected to migrate to YouTube Music over the next few months. Google will also allow users to upload podcasts to YouTube, initially in the US, with plans to expand globally by the end of the year.
Google previously stated that it will increase YouTube's service revenue from 2024. In addition to adding more content creation tools and integrating more artificial intelligence application technologies, the announcement of integrating Google Podcasts into YouTube is expected to become one of the important sources of revenue for YouTube services.
Google Podcasts was launched on June 2018, 6, and the Google Cast service was integrated into Google Podcasts in September of the same year. Subsequently, Google Podcasts was promoted to iOS and Windows platforms at the 18 Google I/O Developer Conference to attract more people to use it.
