Google earlier announced four updates for the Chrome browser for iOS, including built-in Google Maps, Google Calendar and Google Translate functions, as well as direct use of the Google Lens service.
After this update, users will no longer need to download additional apps or open commonly used service apps such as Google Maps. This will not only speed up content browsing efficiency, but also relatively reduce device power consumption. On the other hand, it will also reduce users from downloading infrequently used apps to avoid taking up device storage space.
However, the service functions built into the Chrome browser are relatively simple, but basically, they can meet general usage needs, such as viewing the Google Maps location information corresponding to the link, or using the Google Translate translation function.
As for the Google Lens function built into the Chrome browser, users can directly use the device camera to shoot and search, or long press the image to identify it, which should bring greater convenience to users.
Although several service functions have been integrated into the Chrome browser, Google said that if users need to use more advanced functions, it will basically recommend that users download the required apps separately.
