After previously partnering with Amazon to integrate Alexa digital assistant services, Microsoft announced earlierPartnering with GoogleStarting today, the Google Assistant digital assistant service application will be brought to the Xbox One game console through a software update.
The usage is basically the same asCortanaSimilarly, users can turn on or off their Xbox One simply by using a Google Assistant-enabled phone or connected device and issuing the spoken command "Hey Google, turn on Xbox."
At this stage, the operating functions that can be realized include turning the host power on and off, and executing specific games or application services. In addition, it can also pause or restart the corresponding content, adjust the volume, and capture screen images.
However, the relevant operating instructions are still only available in English, and it is currently only available for testing in beta form. However, Google and Microsoft will add support for more languages to this application in the future, and the official version is expected to be released later this fall.
Currently, all Google Assistant users who own an Xbox One console can join the beta test. As long as they connect their device to their Xbox One with their personal Google account, they can participate in this test project.
