Google and AppleNew features coming soon, allowing users to transfer photos originally stored in Google Photos to iCloud.
This feature is expected to be launched next week, and the relevant operation options can be found in the Google Takeout data management tool, allowing the system to automatically transfer photos from Google Photos to iCloud. The process takes about a few hours to a few days, depending on how many photos the user originally stored in Google Photos.
When transferring photos from Google Photos to iCloud, the photo contents will still remain in the Google Photos service. Therefore, if the user does not want to keep the photos in Google Photos, they must delete them manually.
In addition, this feature will not be applicable to iCloud services corresponding to underage user accounts, or iCloud services with enterprise-managed accounts and advanced data protection features enabled.
As for Apple, it launched a feature in 2021 that allows users to transfer photos from iCloud to Google Photos for storage.
