In addition to the recent test of allowing players to directly findCloud streaming game services including its own StadiaGoogle recently announced that it will add more than 100 trial games to the Stadia service, which can even be played for a certain period of time or after completing specific achievements.
According to the content announced by Google, it will currently provide more than 4 games including "Control", "Sniper Elite 4", "Strange Brigade" and so on on the Stadia service. The length of the trial playable games will be determined by the game developers and publishers, and currently it is divided into 100 minutes, 30 minutes, or up to 60 minutes.
In addition, Google also allows developers or publishers to set the game to end the trial only after completing specific tasks and achievements, thereby attracting more people to join the Stadia service.
Although the entire trial is relatively limited, by extending the trial time, Google expects to attract more people to experience it and fully understand whether the game is suitable for them. At the same time, it will also allow more players to experience the convenience of cloud streaming through Stadia.
Arden Aspinal, head of Rebellion North, the game studio that produced "Sniper Elite 4", said that allowing players to fully experience the game content for a long time will make players more willing to play the game. At the same time, they plan to create a game experience mode in the future that will allow players to directly play specific clips instead of starting from the beginning.
Stadia senior product manager Karan Arora explained that the game trial mode proposed this time was actually inspired by the trial practices provided by some game developers, and believed that this would attract players to participate in the trial.
