With the announcement of active noise reductionPixel Buds ProIt will be launched on July 7th and pre-orders are now open. Google also revealed thatNew Fast Pair featureIt will be applied to this true wireless headset, allowing users to quickly switch between devices such as Android phones and Chromebooks.
For example, if a user is watching a video on their Chromebook while connected to their Pixel Buds Pro, and a call comes in on their Android phone, they can quickly switch the Pixel Buds Pro connection to their phone and answer the call. Once the call is over, the earbuds automatically resume the connection with the Chromebook and continue playing the video where it was interrupted.
If the user does not want to be disturbed, he or she can also choose to cancel the call through system push notification, thereby increasing the convenience of use.
Similar to Apple or Samsung devices, if users want to use this Google feature, they must log in to the same personal Google account on different devices, so that they can automatically switch through the Internet connection.
According to Google's explanation, the new version of Fast Pair function will first be available for the upcoming Pixel Buds Pro, but in the next few weeks, Sony and JBL headphones will also be able to use this function. There are even plans to allow mobile devices other than Android to use it in the future. However, there is no specific schedule yet, but it is clear that Google hopes to make it easier for more devices to connect through the Fast Pair function and switch between them more intuitively.
