Google earlier filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of CaliforniaLawsuit, accusing GMBEye, Rafadigital, and Rafadigital founder Ethan QiQi Hu of selling more than 350 fake profiles, including more than 14000 fake reviews.
GoogledisplaySuch false reviews seriously affect the general users' judgment of whether businesses and restaurants meet their personal expectations, and affect the operation of Google's related services. Therefore, in order to avoid damage to user rights, it is necessary to file lawsuits against businesses that sell false review content.
At the same time, Google emphasized that it will use manpower and artificial intelligence technology to monitor the review content on its services at any time every day, and in 2022, it will protect more than 18.5 businesses from being affected by false reviews and prevent more than 2000 million false reviews from appearing on its services.
Google also stated that it is currently cooperating with regulatory agencies such as the US Federal Trade Commission to do its best to prevent false reviews from affecting the fairness of its services, and continues to reduce the problem of false reviews through review technology and complaint mechanisms, thereby increasing the trust of users and merchants and increasing the credibility of its services.
