Gogoro announced today (August 8th) the opening of a new urban concept store in Zhudong, Hsinchu. The store integrates sustainable thinking and innovative design into local culture. Besides offering consumers car viewing and after-sales services, it also provides a complex humanistic space to strengthen the store's community interaction and local connection capabilities.
In the past,Taoyuan Chinese Metropolis Concept StorePromote the green electricity business philosophy andTainan Park Family City Concept Store, combining parent-child interaction with exhibition and sales stores, and becoming the first store in southern Taiwan to integrate green energy operations. Gogoro chose to open a new urban concept store in Zhudong, Hsinchu, introducing sustainable thinking and local innovative ideas. It also pays tribute to Hsinchu's nearly 100 years of glass craftsmanship and traditional Hakka culture, and even introduced Hakka language services for the first time. At the same time, it connects the living circle to promote must-visit foods, allowing the store to deeply integrate with local community interaction and connection.
This concept store collaborated with Hsinchu's circular economy and sustainable design brand "Chun Chi Glass" and the well-known space design team "Shan Miao Space Experiment". After six months of polishing, the unique transparent glass store was created. Through various creative ideas, the 100% recyclable and reusable characteristics of glass are displayed. It also combines local Hsinchu imagery with Hakka cultural connotations to present an unforgettable aesthetic style and cozy atmosphere.
The outdoor corridor serves as a relaxing space for customers. Recycled glass bricks and recycled glass sand replace traditional flower vases and gravel, adding a dreamy, translucent glow to the greenery along the path. Large floor-to-ceiling windows provide ample natural light and a sense of openness, allowing the outdoor greenery to complement the interior decor. The entrance is ingeniously inscribed with the classic Hakka greeting, "Tai Ga Hao? Shi Bao Ni You Xian Lai Liao" (How are you? Have you eaten? Come and sit down if you have time), showcasing local hospitality.
The interior of the store is inspired by the Gogoro Network infinity symbol. The circular transparent bar is made of a large number of recycled glass panels and various types of crushed recycled glass, presenting multiple levels of crystal luster. Paired with the Gogoro Network infinity symbol ring light above, it conveys the brand spirit of integration with nature and sustainable circulation.
In the spacious, open exhibition area, adorned with colorful glass, Gogoro's best-selling models and premium accessories are on display, making it easy for consumers to choose the perfect item. Some walls feature recycled, lightweight, energy-saving bricks, combined with recycled glass and green building materials. These tiles combine fire resistance, sound insulation, heat insulation, environmental friendliness, non-toxicity, and shock absorption, while cement-textured areas are used to separate areas for viewing and repairing the vehicles.
Gogoro Taiwan General Manager Jiang Jiawei said, "Gogoro continues to strive towards its goal of creating tangible service every day. We now have over 100 community stores offering on-demand repairs across 17 cities and counties across Taiwan, and we expect to reach 150 stores by the end of the year. Our city concept stores are another example of our efforts to upgrade our distribution channels and create value-added services. We utilize Gogoro's signature innovative design language to capture the unique vitality of each city. These stores are more than just stores, they are art, and more importantly, communities. We hope that while consumers can appreciate and purchase our cars, they will also experience the rich local stories and explore the possibilities of a livable lifestyle together. Gogoro City Concept Stores of various formats will be introduced to more cities and counties in the future, connecting global sustainability trends with local cultural characteristics to set an example of a friendly and inclusive metropolis."
