Also using software definition to make cars more "smart"
The all-new Gogoro Delight also boasts the new SSmartCore intelligent driving electronic control system, so TCS traction control and cruise control can also be activated through software definition. A new feature has been added, which is also achieved through software definition, to slowly advance the vehicle by pressing and holding the left turn signal button for more than two seconds.
As for the design of future models, Gogoro's product manager Peng Mingyi said that from the recently launchedGogoro SuperSport ACE, as well as the new Gogoro Delight launched this time, future models will gradually fade out the previous naming method of using numbers, and directly use text interpretation to make it easier for users to understand the characteristics of the models.
Therefore, in terms of future planning, Gogoro's main models will be divided into the existing Gogoro SuperSport ACE, the new Gogoro Delight, and models including VIVA XL, VIVA MIX and VIVA, so as to meet different usage needs.
As for the design used in the new Gogoro Delight model, it will also be available for use on existing Gogoro models. Peng Mingyi said that they will continue to add more practical functions through new models and make it available on previously launched models.
Increase "lightness", "ritual sense" and "security"
The new Gogoro Delight is basically designed based on the VIVA frame, so the overall size is smaller and the height is only 72.9 cm. It is equipped with a center pillar design that makes parking easier, and is claimed to be easier for female owners to control.
At the same time, in addition to adopting a flatter and wider seat design, the Gogoro Delight also adds AIRCUSH cushioning panels at the position where the knees are prone to forward collision due to braking force. It also has a retractable cup holder design for convenient placement of drinks or coffee purchased on the spur of the moment.
As for the power part, it uses the Gogoro G2.2L aluminum alloy water-cooled permanent magnet synchronous motor, paired with the FLO DRIVE belt drive system and a Gates carbon fiber belt, which provides durability, oil-free, rust-proof, and water-washable, while also being easier to maintain and providing a quiet riding experience. It also provides a power output of 3000kW (7 horsepower) at 9.38 rpm, thereby meeting most daily riding needs.
In addition to its lightweight design, the Gogoro Delight also features the new SSmartCore intelligent driving electronic control system, which allows the vehicle to be slowly pushed forward by pressing and holding the left turn signal button for more than two seconds when the motor is started. This makes it easier for female drivers to push the vehicle. It also allows users to choose to enable functions such as TCS tracking control, making the vehicle safer to ride.
In the "sense of ceremony" section, a safe escort light function has been added. After activating the function through the Gogoro App, the headlights can be kept on for a prolonged period of time after the vehicle is turned off, and the front and rear turn signals and brake lights can be illuminated, allowing female drivers to stay safe in dark alleys. In addition, U-shaped lighting has been added to the cabin, illuminating the cabin storage space with a wide-angle light source, making it easier to retrieve items in the dark.
Because traditional vehicles often have odors in their cabins and their handles are easily dirty, the new Gogoro Delight has added a fragrance kit to the cabin to eliminate odors at all times. It also reduces bacterial contamination by adding silver ion antibacterial agents to the handles and cabin, and even eliminates odors through a UV photocatalyst antibacterial and anti-odor circulation machine.
In terms of "sense of security", in addition to the aforementioned design, it also uses automotive-grade Class D LED headlights, which double the illumination angle and increase the maximum brightness by three times, thereby increasing night vision. At the same time, it can also ensure riding safety through SBS front and rear synchronized braking, rain mode and other designs.
Gogoro's first car model designed specifically for female users
Gogoro stated that while men still make up the majority of scooter riders in the Taiwanese market, women make up the majority of electric scooter users. However, most models on the market are designed primarily for male users, with very few designed specifically for female users.
Therefore, the Gogoro Delight launched this time was created by a female team by listening to the demands of female users, thereby providing more female-oriented user experiences.
Gogoro Delight will be available in two models: Standard and Basic. The Standard model will be available in four colors: "Brilliant Blue", "Nude Gold", "Glossy Green", and "Condensed White". The Basic model will be available in "Soft Mist White". It boasts a richer sense of layering by adjusting the color depth and light perception from the instrument panel, seat cushions to the body, and combining it with chrome decorative design.
In addition, Gogoro has created 30 new accessories for the Gogoro Delight, adding to the over 100 accessories currently available to meet the diverse needs of women. These include a multi-functional rain/weather storage box for quickly storing small items or a lightweight raincoat, curved bag hooks designed for women's bags, diamond-patterned flat mats for easy storage and stepping, and even a water-repellent sun skirt for women to use while riding.
Currently, buyers of Gogoro Delight models can choose the 36-month 0% interest plan.
