After earlier announcing its expansion into Hsinchu, Gogoro today (December 12th) officially opened its first store in Taoyuan City. It also announced that, including the newly opened Taoyuan store, northern Taiwan now has a total of 19 physical stores and 10 GoStation battery swap stations. The service area now covers Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, and Hsinchu City. It is expected that the company will also expand its smart grid system through cooperation with Hi-Life on GoStation battery swap stations, further expanding its service scope.
Gogoro has officially opened its first physical store in Taoyuan City and announced the expansion of its physical store services to the region, allowing users in the area to access services such as vehicle pickup, consultation, and repairs. In conjunction with the launch of the Taoyuan store, Gogoro also announced the installation of a dedicated charging area and GoStation battery swap station at the Taoyuan City Government, making low-carbon transportation more convenient for users in the area.
At the same time, Taoyuan City Mayor Zheng Wencan also announced at today's event that he will continue to offer unlimited subsidies to citizens who purchase electric two-wheelers. At the same time, he will use the highest subsidy policy in Taiwan to allow Taoyuan City citizens to respond and join in the use of electric vehicles, thereby reducing the air pollution problems caused by traditional fuel vehicles, and further driving Taoyuan's transformation into a green model city.
To provide more user-friendly parking spaces for electric two-wheelers, the Taoyuan City Transportation Bureau will plan to add dedicated parking spaces for electric motorcycles in public parking lots and roadside motorcycle parking spaces in Taoyuan City. Furthermore, charging and battery swapping stations will be added in transportation hubs such as train stations, MRT stations, and public parking lots, as well as in suitable public facilities such as district offices, libraries, and industrial parks, making it more convenient for electric two-wheeler users to use their vehicles.
Currently, Gogoro has a total of 10 physical stores and 105 GoStation battery swap stations in northern Taiwan. In the future, it will cooperate with convenience stores such as 7-11 and Hi-Life to further expand the number of battery swap stations, allowing users to more conveniently swap vehicle batteries nearby.
