A Canadian computer and psychologist who recently resigned from Google and expressed concerns about the current development of artificial intelligence technology and is known as the "Godfather of Artificial Intelligence"Geoffrey HintonEarlier, when attending the Collision conference in Toronto, he again warned that the misuse of artificial intelligence technology could come at a high price.

Geoffrey Hinton said that he does not believe that what the market calls "good artificial intelligence" will be able to solve the potential impacts of current artificial intelligence, because the quality still depends on the people who create the technology. Therefore, as more and more artificial intelligence technologies may be abused, if there are no appropriate regulations in the future, artificial intelligence may have a significant impact on human life.

For example, in the future, there's the possibility that AI technology could be used in the military, exploited by those in power to expand their own advantages, or even widen the wealth gap. Geoffrey Hinton believes the threats posed by AI aren't confined to science fiction or movies, and therefore, preventative measures must be established early on.

Among the current problems, artificial intelligence may use a large amount of biased or discriminatory information during the establishment and training stages, resulting in many unfair results when artificial intelligence is actually operated, which in turn affects the user's subsequent judgment or feelings, and even allows more false information to spread rapidly, causing greater bias problems.

However, Geoffrey Hinton is not despairing about the development of artificial intelligence technology. Instead, he calls on people to understand the possible errors of artificial intelligence and ensure that artificial intelligence can be used to assist with work and life application needs through various verifications.

Geoffrey Hinton believes that how companies build and use artificial intelligence will be the key to the development of such technologies. He also believes that more people will face unemployment due to the development of artificial intelligence, but new opportunities can still be created through artificial intelligence, and people must also make changes in response to the development of artificial intelligence.
