Sony Interactive Entertainment recently unveiled several key titles and updates for the PlayStation platform in the second half of 2026 and beyond through a "State of Play" online presentation that lasted over 60 minutes.
The program opened with a gameplay demo of Insomniac Games' highly anticipated Marvel's Wolverine and closed with the exciting new installment in the God of War series, God of War: Laufey.
In addition to its own lineup, strong third-party titles including Control Resonance, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and Silent Hill: Downfall are also confirmed to be released later this year.
The grand finale: God of War: Laufey
The God of War universe has officially received a brand new expansion, with this game turning the focus to Laufey, the valiant and deceased wife of Kratos and mother of Atreus.
In the story's setting, death is not Laufey's end. To save his beloved, Laufey will wage a bloody battle in the afterlife of the gods, "Alltimes." This title is expected to complete an important puzzle in the Norse mythology saga for veteran players, while also providing new players with a fresh adventure experience. God of War: Laufey is confirmed for PlayStation 5, but a release date has not yet been announced.
Rampage Opening: Marvel's Wolverine Confirmed for September 15 Release
Insomniac Games has released its first gameplay footage of the single-player action-adventure game, Marvel's Wolverine. The game features an extremely brutal, intense, and tense combat style, perfectly showcasing Logan's devastating fighting skills.
In addition to the combat demonstration, the official website also revealed some members of the mutant task force "Team X". Among them, Jean Grey, who has powerful telepathic abilities, is confirmed to appear in the game and will fight alongside Logan against the Reavers, a mechanized organization that hunts mutants.
Marvel's Wolverine will be released on September 15th this year, and pre-orders are open now. The suggested retail price is NT$2098, and the suggested retail price for the digital deluxe edition is NT$2490.
Horror classic returns: Until Dawn 2 to hit theaters next year
The sequel to the classic interactive horror game, Until Dawn 2, developed by Firesprite Games, has been officially announced.
This game will offer a completely independent story experience, featuring a brand-new cast of characters and a new stage for exploration. The story follows a group of paranormal investigators who travel to an abandoned tropical island to film a television-sponsored program, where they will encounter numerous mysteries and deadly dangers.
Just like its predecessor, every "butterfly effect" choice made by the player will profoundly impact the life and death of the characters and the course of the story. The game is expected to be released in 2027.
The ever-expanding PvPvE battlefield: Lost Starship: Marathon
Bungie's sci-fi escape shooter, Starship Marathon, announced that Season 2 has officially launched today.
To attract more players to the battle on planet Tau Ceti IV, the official announcement states that a public trial week will be held from June 3rd to June 10th. During this period, players can experience this high-risk, high-intensity PvP and PvE extraction combat for free without needing a PlayStation Plus membership.
Heroes Assemble: Marvel's Fighting Spirits Adds a New Lineup of Villains
Marvel's team-based shooter game, Marvel Fighting Spirit, has confirmed that three heavyweight villains will join the roster: Magneto, Green Goblin, and Carnage.
These three new characters will join forces with Doctor Doom in Episode Mode to form the Knights of Doom, playing key villainous roles that drive the plot.
