Garmin announced the launch of the new Venu 3 GPS smartwatch, which features a circular AMOLED screen, is compatible with 7 different strap styles, and is available in Spectrum Black and Vibrant White. The Venu 3S GPS smartwatch is available in Meditation Blank, Night Forest Gray, Olive Mint, Brick Cocoa, and Bubble Rose, corresponding to up to 14 days and 10 days of battery life respectively. The suggested retail price is NT$14990 and it is now available in the Taiwan market.
The Venu 3 GPS smartwatch uses fifth-generation heart rate and blood oxygen sensors, and introduces Sleep Coach, which can monitor the status of each sleep stage, including light, deep, REM, restless sleep and awake time. It also includes breathing status and stress index during sleep. It can also monitor comprehensive indicators such as daily exercise, naps/naps, sleep HRV, and nighttime sleep, providing complete personalized sleep analysis and suggestions.
With the newly added automatic nap detection and nap tracking features, Body Battery provides a post-daytime nap analysis. Besides daytime naps, it also helps assess energy levels based on nighttime sleep, stress, and training. Jet Lag Advisor helps users quickly adjust their biological clocks by automatically detecting or manually entering their time zone. Morning Report provides a summary of the previous night's sleep, along with sleep HRV, an advanced body energy index, and weather forecasts.
In addition, the Venu 3 series smart watches have over 30 built-in indoor and outdoor sports modes, and are equipped with an evolved version of Muscle Map, which can fully record the number of training sets and the corresponding muscle group distribution, effectively improving training efficiency. It can also provide analysis immediately after exercise, so as to understand the extent of progress in the current training and make better arrangements for the next training.
The Venu 3 has also added a meditation guide, allowing users to choose different themes according to their mood and conduct physical and mental exercises through three guided methods: music, voice, and video played directly on the watch.
In addition, to optimize the user experience for wheelchair users, experiments were conducted to gain insights into the physiological analysis parameters of wheelchair users and launch a wheelchair mode designed with a new algorithm. This mode has multiple sports modes and exercise plans exclusive to wheelchair users, as well as a center of gravity shift warning to remind wheelchair users to appropriately shift their weight, thereby reducing the potential for pressure ulcers caused by prolonged sitting.
The new voice control function can be paired with a smartphone to make calls and reply to messages directly on the wrist, and even provide vocal exercise guidance. It can store up to 650 music playlists from streaming platforms and can use the Garmin Pay mobile payment service to use credit card and EasyCard contactless payment function.
