The Galaxy Watch 3 is confirmed to have added blood pressure, electrocardiogram, blood oxygen concentration, sleep management, and fall detection functions. In addition, it also provides various training courses through the new version of the Samsung Health app, allowing users to follow the watch's instructions for correct exercise operations.
However, the electrocardiogram function may have to wait for approval from medical regulatory agencies before it can be used. Currently, only the Galaxy Watch 3 sold in South Korea has been confirmed to be able to use all functions.
Compared to last year's Galaxy Watch Active 2, Samsung has reintroduced the physical bezel in the Galaxy Watch 3, allowing users to control watch functions by rotating the bezel. The watch body is available in stainless steel or titanium, with leather and titanium straps. The watch comes in two sizes: 45mm and 41mm, weighing 53.8g and 48.2g, respectively, excluding the strap.
The screen is available in two sizes, 1.4 inches and 1.2 inches, depending on the diameter. Both feature a 360 x 360 Super AMOLED screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass DX. The processor is still the Samsung Exynos 9110 Dual Core 1.15GHz, with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. The operating system is upgraded to Tizen-based version 5.5.
The connectivity functions are divided into 4G LTE version and pure Wi-Fi connection version. Other designs are the same as the Galaxy Watch Active 2, supporting 5ATM level 50 meters underwater protection and IP68 dust and water resistance, and complying with the US military MIL-STD-810G protection certification.
The Galaxy Buds Live, with their distinctive bean-shaped design, feature active noise cancellation and enhanced ventilation holes to reduce the stuffiness associated with traditional earphones. They also come with a dedicated charging case inspired by a jewelry box. Charging with the case provides up to 29 hours of battery life, with just 5 minutes of charge providing enough power for an hour of listening time. They also support Samsung's Music Share feature, allowing users to quickly share music with another pair of Galaxy Buds Live.
Internally, the Galaxy Buds Live utilize AKG-tuned 12mm drivers and feature three microphones: two for external beamforming to assist with noise cancellation, and one for phone calls. The earbuds also feature a bass tube to enhance low-frequency sound. In addition to enhancing call clarity through noise cancellation, the Galaxy Buds Live utilize a built-in motion sensor to recognize mouth movements and bone conduction vibrations while wearing the earbuds, enhancing call reception.
However, the Buds Together function, which allows for quick pairing and connection, is currently only available on the Galaxy Note 2.5 series phones and Galaxy Tab S20 series tablets that are already equipped with One UI 7. However, the sound sharing function supports all Samsung devices equipped with One UI 2.1 or later.
Although it does not adopt an in-ear wearing style, Samsung explained that its special bean-like design allows the earphones to be placed on the ears and worn. At the same time, it cooperates with acoustic algorithm technology to provide the best sound listening effect. On the other hand, it can also instantly identify external environmental noise and emit active reverse sound waves to cancel out the noise, thereby achieving a noise reduction effect.
According to Samsung, Galaxy Buds Live can eliminate up to 97% of low-frequency noise generated by moving trains or buses, allowing users to have a quieter and more comfortable listening experience.
When charged with the carrying case, it can provide up to 29 hours of battery life. At the same time, 5 minutes of charging can provide enough power for 1 hour of listening. It also supports Samsung's music sharing function, allowing users to quickly share music with another set of Galaxy Buds Live for playback.
