In an update released earlier, Samsung finally allowed users to manually turn off the Bixby dedicated button function on the left side of the Galaxy S8 series or Galaxy Note 8 to avoid inadvertently activating the Bixby service.
Previously, users often accidentally pressed the dedicated Bixby button on the left side of the Galaxy S8 series or Galaxy Note 8, which would trigger services like Bixby Home. Therefore, in an earlier update, Samsung allowed users to manually disable the dedicated Bixby button, while retaining the ability to activate Bixby Voice by long-pressing it.
Users only need to download the update in the Bixby Home interface. After the installation is complete, they can find the "Bixby Key" setting item in the Bixby settings option. After entering, set the item to "Do not turn on". This will prevent the Bixby function from being activated if the independent button on the left is accidentally pressed.
However, Samsung has not yet allowed users to use apps or settings to allow the Bixby dedicated button to correspond to other functions or activate third-party apps.
