Fujifilm has recently updated its new retro-style mirrorless camera X-E5.XE launched in 20214 successor models use a similar body, equipped with a 4020-megapixel X-Trans CMOS 5 HR back-illuminated sensor and an X-Processor 5 image processor.
The top of the X-E5 is made of machined aluminum and features aX100VIThe multi-function lever design can provide photo aspect ratio adjustment, automatic preview mode, or switch between 1.4x and 2x digital zoom ratios.
A new film simulation dial has also been added, with three customizable film style options, SF1-SF3. The back of the body is also equipped with a 236 million-dot electronic viewfinder and a 104 million-dot touch screen that can be tilted 180 degrees. The body is also equipped with a five-axis anti-shake system, which can correspond to 7 levels of anti-shake in the center area and 6 levels of anti-shake in the edge area.
The electronic shutter can reach a speed of up to 1/180000 seconds, and an external mechanical shutter cable can also be connected. It also supports an autofocus system that uses artificial intelligence to identify the subject, and the video recording function supports 6K 30p or 4K 60p.
To coincide with the launch of the X-E5, Fujifilm also announced the XF23mm F2.8 R WR, a fixed-focus lens with a further thinned design, which is also available in black and white for the X-E5.
The X-E5 is expected to be officially launched this summer, with a suggested retail price of US$1699.95 for the body alone and US$23 for the set with the XF2.8mm F1899.95 R WR fixed-focus lens. As for the XF23mm F2.8 R WR, it is expected to be available for sale separately at the end of the year, with a suggested retail price of US$499.95.
