Fujifilm has released the new Instax mini LiPlay+ instant camera, the first major update since the original mini LiPlay was released in 2019. After six years of waiting, this upgrade brings many new features.
Dual-lens design and innovative shooting modes
The most eye-catching change is the addition of a second lens to the new Instax mini LiPlay+.
In addition to the original front lens, a wide-angle lens designed specifically for selfies has been added to the back of the body. This design allows users to combine the shooting content of the two lenses to create a unique superimposed image effect, bringing more creative possibilities to instant photography.

Hardware upgrade and new film release
The exterior design largely maintains the original style, but the rear LCD screen is larger, allowing users to compose images more accurately before printing.
To coincide with the launch of the new camera, Fujifilm also launched a new "Soft Flash" instant film, which comes in packs of ten and features gold accents and soft tones, creating a "calming shimmer effect" for photo borders. The film is priced at approximately $18.
Enhanced application and multimedia functions
The redesigned app adds several new features, most notably the ability to attach short audio clips to photos. By scanning the QR code on a photo, the corresponding audio clip can be played on a smartphone or other device. The LiPlay+ app also allows users to further edit images before printing.
Price and market positioning
The new camera will be available at the end of this month for $235 and will be available in blue and beige. Although the original mini LiPlay failed to make the list of the best instant cameras, Fujifilm's Instax series has received positive reviews, demonstrating the brand's continued innovation in the instant camera market.
The launch of this new product demonstrates Fujifilm's determination to continue innovating in the ready-to-shoot market, bringing consumers a richer photographic experience by combining the fun of traditional film shooting with modern digital technology.
