In addition to updating its digital camera lineup, Fujifilm also announced new instax point-and-shoot cameras ahead of Photokina 2018. These include the instax SQUARE SQ6 and instax double-sided stickers, which can be re-attached to any surface. Fujifilm also announced the instax SQUARE SQ15, a hybrid point-and-shoot camera that can record 20-second short videos.
Fujifilm's instax series of instant cameras have always been a hot-selling model. In addition to allowing more young people to enjoy the fun of camera photography, the instant photos can also be used for content creation, note-taking, or party commemorations.
The instax SQUARE SQ6 is available in Ruby Red and Aqua Blue. It features a dual exposure mode that allows users to easily capture two shutter images in the same frame. It also allows users to record images from a 30cm shooting distance through macro mode and wide-angle images through landscape mode.
The instax double-sided stickers, released simultaneously, allow users to repeatedly stick their photos onto any surface. Like the instax SQUARE SQ6, the instax double-sided stickers will be available in early November this year.
The instax SQUARE SQ20, a hybrid instant-shooting camera unveiled simultaneously, features the ability to record 15-second short videos and a 4x digital zoom function. It also allows users to edit and create new photo effects. For example, users can decide the best frame in a 15-second video, simulate a long exposure effect, or even add a 35mm film negative frame.
However, the instax SQUARE SQ20 uses a relatively small 1/5-inch sensor and a relatively small shooting angle, but maintains the same f/2.4 aperture lens as the previous generation model.
instax SQUARE SQ20 is expected to be launched on October 10 this year.
