Fujifilm earlier announced the launch of a new instant camera, the Instax SQ40, which has a retro body design and is covered in black artificial leather. It mainly uses 62 x 62 mm Instax Square photo paper.
However, the Instax SQ40 itself does not have the function of saving photos as digital files. It can only record and develop them through photo paper. It is mainly used for fun photography or as a notebook to record daily life.
The Instax SQ40 features a retractable lens design and supports automatic exposure. It can correspond to a 35mm equivalent shooting mode and a selfie function corresponding to a shooting distance of 0.3-0.5 meters. The selfie composition can also be previewed through the mirror on the body.
Fujifilm plans to release the instant camera in June with a suggested retail price of $6.
