Foxconn announced a partnership with IBM to jointly promote the construction of Taiwan's AI Factory, aiming to lower the barriers for enterprises to adopt AI. Meanwhile, the Asia Bay Supercomputing Center, the core engine of Foxconn's AI strategy, has been confirmed as an NVIDIA Cloud Partner (NCP) and is expected to officially commence operations in 2026, with the goal of becoming Taiwan's most strategic supercomputing center.

Foxconn partners with IBM to build an AI factory in Taiwan; the Asia-Pacific supercomputing center is scheduled to launch in 2026; and NVIDIA technology will be integrated to create an Asian AI ecosystem.

Partnering with IBM: From Imagination to Impact, Implementing Client Zero Practical Experience

The collaboration between Foxconn and IBM focuses on "making it easy for enterprises to adopt AI." IBM emphasizes that AI is not only a technological breakthrough, but more importantly, practical application.

To this end, IBM will leverage its internal "Client Zero" program experience as a validation tool. IBM points out that the program has successfully applied AI to more than 70 workflows within its organization, resulting in over $45 billion in productivity improvements.

The two parties will collaborate to create an open, flexible, and scalable AI platform that allows businesses to start small and grow gradually according to their needs. This platform will provide industry-specific use cases and collaboration opportunities, bringing a new model for AI commercialization to Taiwan and driving AI transformation throughout the APAC (Asia Pacific) region.

Hans Dekkers, General Manager of IBM Asia Pacific, stated that IBM continues to develop three key technologies: hybrid cloud, AI, and quantum computing. The goal is to create an "enterprise-grade AI App Store" that, with its open, flexible, and modular nature, and application-scenario-oriented approach, will help enterprises take control of their data and AI sovereignty and securely promote the implementation of AI applications.

Hans Dekker explained the concept of an enterprise-level AI App Store. This is a transformation plan that current CEO Arvind Krishna has been vigorously promoting since taking office in 2000. It involves introducing AI and automation tools into four main business areas: enterprise-wide information insights, IT architecture and system modernization, customer support and service, and employee productivity, to optimize more than 70 major enterprise workflows. It is expected to generate $45 billion in commercial benefits by the end of 2025.

In the field of quantum computing, Hans Dekker points out that quantum technology will enhance, rather than replace, traditional computing. In September of this year, HSBC announced that, with the assistance of IBM, it combined quantum and traditional computing capabilities to improve the accuracy of bond trading predictions by 34%. IBM is also collaborating with AMD to develop a next-generation computing architecture that combines quantum computing with high-performance computing (HPC).

The Asia Bay Supercomputing Center 2026 is operational and has NVIDIA NCP qualification.

On the other hand, as the core engine of Foxconn Group's AI strategy,"Asia Bay Supercomputing Center"Positioned as the most strategic supercomputing center in Taiwan, it is expected to begin operations in 2026.

Asia Bay Supercomputing Center, as an NVIDIA Cloud Partner (NCP), will connect the entire value chain from computing power to applications. Through the "AI Factory" end-to-end solution, it aims to accelerate the process from development to commercialization for enterprises, helping to solve the dual challenges of digital transformation and operational efficiency.

In this collaboration, NVIDIA also participated in joint dialogues to explore cutting-edge global practices and technological solutions, hoping to leverage computing power to empower industries and work together with the industry to create an efficient and open AI ecosystem in Asia.
