The product chief who recently announced his departure from MicrosoftPanos PanayAs Bloomberg News reported a few days ago, he has confirmed that he will join Amazon as the head of the devices and services department, which means he will take over the business originally headed by David Limp.

The appointment was announced by Amazon CEO Andy Jassy. It is expected that Panos Panay's extensive experience at Microsoft will help Amazon drive new developments in product and service experiences.
Panos Panay will take over David Limp's responsibilities, including the Echo hardware line and the Alexa digital assistant, as well as numerous products using Amazon technology. He will work with David Limp for several months and complete the transition before he officially takes over as CEO of Blue Origin.
As for the Surface and Windows business unit originally led by Panos Panay at Microsoft, it is currently taken over by Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft's corporate vice president of modern life, search, and devices.
