Windows 10作業系統下載版本已經在今年1月31日中止銷售,而後續安全性更新僅持續提供至2025年10月14日為止,而針對特定企業後續使用需求,微軟將比照Previous Windows 7 practices, allowing enterprises to continue to receive subsequent security updates at an additional cost.
The reason for providing this service is that some companies may need more time to update their operating systems to Windows 11 due to business adjustments, system updates, etc., but they still need to continue using Windows 10 during this process, so they need to continue to receive security updates.
Jason Leznek, Microsoft product manager for Windows ServicesdisplayThis service is available as a one-year subscription, with a maximum extension of two years. Besides being targeted at businesses, individual companies and startups can also pay to continue receiving security updates after the original end-of-life date for Windows 10.
However, Microsoft has not announced the specific charging details, but it is expected to be calculated based on the number of enterprise installations and usages.
If calculated based on the subscription fees offered by Windows 7 in the past, the enterprise licensing plan will charge $25 per PC in the first year, but will increase to $100 in the last year. As for the professional edition licensing plan, it will charge $50 in the first year and increase to $200 in the last year, allowing corporate users to upgrade their operating system to the latest version of Windows as soon as possible.
