Fitbit, a subsidiary of Google, announced the launch of its new Charge 6 smart bracelet, which boasts of more accurate heart rate measurement through advanced health sensing components and new machine learning algorithms. It can also connect to training equipment via Bluetooth or link with the health app, and can also use Google services itself.
Charge 6 uses the same innovative technology as the Pixel Watch and applies it to smart bracelet products, allowing Charge 6 to respond to intense activities such as high-intensity interval training (HIIT), flywheel, or rowing. At the same time, through advanced sensors and machine learning algorithms, heart rate tracking accuracy will be improved by 60% compared to previous versions, and the wearer's physical condition can be assessed based on accurate heart rate.
The Charge 6 connects via Bluetooth to fitness equipment from NordicTrack, Peloton, Concept2, and Tonal, as well as popular Android and iOS apps like Peloton. Other features include tracking workout changes, integrating with YouTube Music Premium to recommend music based on your workout, and even accessing services like Google Maps and Google Wallet.
The Charge 6 comes in three colors: Obsidian Black, Ceramic Beige, and Coral Red, with a suggested retail price of NT$5190. It will be available for pre-order through channels such as the Google Store, Fitbit Stre, as well as the Fitbit official flagship store on Shopee, momo shopping network, and PChome 24h shopping. It is expected to be officially released globally this fall.
In addition, Charge 6 also debuts the "Zoom + Magnifier" assisted reading function. Users only need to tap anywhere on the screen a few times to enlarge small, hard-to-read text to the desired font size.
