In response to the recent trend of metaverse applications, Far EasTone announced today (December 12) the establishment of Taiwan's first 21G metaverse accelerator, with the goal of forming a team to jointly create metaverse economic opportunities.
Far EasTone said that the 5G Metaverse Accelerator will include two major co-creation projects, namely the Far EasTone Heart Life Co-creation Platform and the Far EasTone Bigwigs Ecosystem. It will cover core capabilities such as big data, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, as well as information security, cloud computing, energy, and automotive economy, plus Far EasTone's 5G network application resources, combined with the innovative ideas of start-up teams, focusing on two major directions: consumer applications and enterprise integration, to promote metaverse virtual economy business opportunities.
Promoting the development of metaverse applications requires high-speed networks and applications such as cloud computing driven by the network. Therefore, Far EasTone also emphasized that its 5G network is already capable of promoting metaverse-related computing resources.
At the same time, Far EasTone also stated that it has industry resources in cloud computing, energy, audio and video, e-commerce, and cybersecurity, and can use the professional business and marketing capabilities of its "5G Bigwigs" technical team, combined with the resources of Far Eastern Group, to provide new startup teams with various development tools, systems, mentors, field verification, and commercialization assistance, thereby shortening the "trial and error" exploration period and allowing new startup teams to invest in metaverse application development more quickly through Far EasTone's resources.
Far EasTone 5G Metaverse Accelerator will begin recruiting startup teams from now on, with the goal of supporting 15 startup teams each year. The initial review is expected to be held in March next year. The selected teams will receive abundant resources from Far EasTone, including business model optimization, experience optimization, technology optimization, cybersecurity reinforcement, platform integration, etc., and will participate in the Demo Day results conference in the third quarter of next year.
