The ZTE Grand S3, which has been launched in the Chinese market recently, has the biggest feature of EyeVerify's Eyeprint ID biometric technology, which is based on the principle of identifying the distribution of blood vessels in the whites of the eyes, allowing users to unlock their phones directly by scanning both eyes. However, in addition to applying Eyeprint ID to the ZTE Grand S3 as a product feature, EyeVerify mainly hopes to apply this biometric technology to other technology products or daily life applications.

In the MWC 2015 exhibition area, ZTE displayed its ZTE Grand S3, which has been sold in the Chinese market. The main feature is that it is equipped with EyeVerify's Eyeprint ID biometric technology based on the principle of identifying the distribution of blood vessels in the white of the eye, allowing users to unlock the phone by scanning both eyes. Due to the confidentiality of mobile phone information, Eyeprint ID biometric technology can only record one set of user information at a time, and currently can only be used for mobile phone unlocking purposes, and has not yet been further integrated with e-wallet applications (but it can be compatible in the future).

In fact, EyeVerify technology does not require any additional hardware components. It can be used as long as there is a front camera with good shooting effects. The main calculation is still completed through image recognition through software. Therefore, it is expected to be used in other mobile phone products. EyeVerify also expects to license this technology for use in other technology products or life applications.

In the application part of ZTE Grand S3, Eyeprint ID biometric technology will be named "Sky Eye". Users must press the power button to display the screen lock screen, pull down the recognition function from the top, and scan at a distance of 15 cm from the camera to enter the mobile phone operation interface.

In addition to applying Eyeprint ID to ZTE Grand S3 as a product feature, the main hope is to apply this biometric technology to other technological products or life applications.
