TheOPPO Reno 2, will be launched in Taiwan soon, but the actual launch time is still scheduled for late September, and the specific launch details will be announced at that time. However, it was revealed earlier that theReno AceIt is not yet certain whether it will be launched in the Taiwan market.

OPPO's current positioning of the Reno series can almost be said to replace the original R series models and further strengthen its development strategy in the high-end flagship market. Not only does it introduce high-end flagship hardware specifications into the product line, but it also meets the needs of the mid-range market.
Compared to the Reno series launched in the first half of the year, which touted the "Design by OPPO" design concept, the Reno 2 launched in the second half of the year shifted to the "Design for Reno" concept. This clearly means that OPPO will make the Reno product line and the Find series its key development projects in the future. The Reno series is expected to become a regularly updated model, while the Find series will focus on new technologies and fashionable design.
The newly launched Reno 2 also features a shark-fin-like single-sided pop-up screen, but the screen size has been increased to 6.5 inches. It uses a Samsung OLED panel and is equipped with an under-screen fingerprint reader. The processor specifications are Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G, equipped with 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage capacity, built-in 4000mAh battery power, and support for VOOC 3.0 flash charging technology. The product is positioned not only to target young consumer groups, but also to meet the needs of mobile game enthusiasts.
As for the built-in camera lenses, the main camera is equipped with a 4800-megapixel main camera lens, a Sony IMX586 sensor, and OIS optical image stabilization. It is also equipped with an 800-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 1300-megapixel telephoto lens, and a set of 200-megapixel monochrome lenses, which support wide-angle, telephoto, macro, and black and white images respectively. It also supports 5x lossless optical zoom, artificial intelligence scene recognition shooting with independent NPU computing, and Ultra Steady video super hand stabilization with 5-axis image stabilization.
The operating system uses ColorOS 9.0 based on Android 6.1, and has a built-in Breeno digital assistant service, which emphasizes continuous learning and understanding of user operation behavior and interaction through voice control.
Connectivity features include Link Boost technology, allowing simultaneous connection to both 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi bands, and automatic switching between Wi-Fi and 4G networks to ensure a stable connection. The Reno 2 also features built-in NFC, supporting not only OPPO Pay but also subway and bus cards in over 150 cities across China. It also supports the use of non-encrypted access card simulations.
However, the version introduced in the Taiwan market is expected to use the Google-certified Android operating system and the ColorOS 6.1 operating interface, but will remove the transportation card and access card simulation functions provided for the Chinese market, as well as the Breeno digital assistant service.
Reno 2 is available in three colors: Mist Pink, Deep Sea Luminous, and Ocean Heart. The versions displayed in Taiwan are Deep Sea Luminous and Ocean Heart. It can be seen that the light-condensing point color technology is used, and the 3D gradient color gives the color a more light and shadow change effect. As for the overall design, it is not much different from the Reno series.
However, the difference from Reno is that Reno 2 has an additional 3.5mm headphone jack, and the position of the SIM card slot is also different.
In terms of the suggested retail price, Reno 2 is launched at RMB 2999 and was put on sale at 9:12 am on September 10. It will be sold through OPPO experience stores, telecom stores including China Telecom and China Unicom, chain stores such as Gome, Suning, D.Phone, and Leyu, and will also be sold through online platforms such as OPPO's official online store, Tmall, and JD.com.
During this exhibition, OPPO also showcased its OPPO Enco Q11.8 wireless noise-canceling headphones, which feature dual ANC active noise reduction technology and an 1mm high-resolution dynamic unit with a PEEK+PU composite diaphragm. It also showcased its power bank accessories that support VOOC flash charging technology.
Taiwan is expected to announce the launch information of Reno 9 in late September this year, and accessories are also expected to be introduced to the Taiwanese market. However, the mobile power bank previously co-branded with Gundam and Pikachu is not currently considered for introduction due to licensing reasons.
