It was previously revealed that a new game handheld console equipped with a processor codenamed "Lunar Lake" will be launched.MSI Claw 8 AI+Later, MSI officially unveiled this product during Computex 2024, but has not yet announced specific details. As for Zotac, it also showcasedIts first handheld game console GAMING ZONE, but the processor uses AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor specifications.

MSI's new handheld gaming console, the MSI Claw 8 AI+
Because Intel uses a memory integration design in the "Lunar Lake" processor, it does not need to occupy additional memory space, making the handheld design simpler and power consumption relatively reduced. In addition, the computing architecture has been greatly changed, which will obviously have higher computing performance than the previous "Meteor Lake" processor design.
In terms of other hardware specifications, the MSI Claw 8 AI+ uses an 80Wh battery and has an 8-inch screen size, while maintaining a 1080P resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, and also supports VRR. Like ASUS's recently updated ROG Ally X, the MSI Claw 8 AI+ also adds a USB-C port that supports Thunderbolt 4, and improves the trigger button and charger design.
With the "Lunar Lake" processor expected to be officially launched in the third quarter of this year, MSI is also expected to launch this game handheld in the third quarter of this year.
Compared to the increasing number of companies using AMD's Ryzen Z1 series processors to build handheld game consoles, Intel also plans to use its processor products to enter the gaming handheld market. However, only MSI has launched a gaming handheld using the "Meteor Lake" processor. Currently, companies that use the "Lunar Lake" processor to build gaming handhelds areCurrently, there are only two companies, MSI and China Weibu Information.Perhaps Intel should be more proactive in its approach to using its processors to enter the handheld gaming market.

Zotac GAMING ZONE
As for the Zotac GAMING ZONE, it will use the AMD Ryzen 8 7U processor with an octa-core design, rather than the Ryzen Z8840 Extreme specifications currently used by most game handhelds. The display design uses the Radeon 1M with 12 RDNA 3 display computing elements. The processor's default operating power consumption is 780W, and the maximum operating power consumption can reach approximately 15W.

The screen also uses a 7-inch AMOLED display panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 800nits brightness and 1080P resolution. It has basically the same specifications as the ASUS ROG Ally, and uses 16GB of LPDDR7500X memory with a design of 5 MT/s. The storage component uses an M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD with a default capacity of 512GB. The battery capacity is 48.5Wh, and the storage capacity can be expanded via a UHS-II micro SD memory card.
The operating interface is through screen touch, or through a cross key, Hall analog joystick, and two-position adjustable trigger buttons. The operating system uses Microsoft Windows 11 Home version and is expected to enter the market in the third quarter of this year.
