The company recently announced the launch ofThe new generation flagship noise-canceling Bluetooth headset WH-1000XM6Today (June 6), Sony showcased its active noise reduction performance in different scenarios through a special car experience on the Sea Breeze sightseeing train.
The WH-1000XM6 looks similar to the previous generation model, and once again adopts the folding storage mechanism design of previous models, and adds 12 sets of microphones for more accurate active noise reduction. In addition, it has also upgraded the new version of QN3 audio processor and new version of artificial intelligence algorithm, and is equipped with V2 integrated Bluetooth connection platform, which supports simultaneous connection of multiple devices.
In addition to enlarging the size of the power button and adding a concave design to avoid accidental pressing, the WH-1000XM6 also widens the headband to improve wearing support and comfort, and the overall weight is relatively lighter.
The sound part uses a 30mm carbon fiber diaphragm unit and collaborates with Grammy Award-winning mastering engineers from professional recording studios such as Sterling Sound, Battery Studios, and Coast Mastering. Sony's headphone craftsmen and professional team also adjust the sound quality to make the WH-1000XM6 output sound more in line with mainstream music listening needs.
As for audio processing, six beamforming microphones are used to collect sound, combined with noise reduction, allowing users to maintain clear conversations even in noisy environments. Furthermore, Sony claims that once users wear the WH-6XM1000, they can automatically adjust the noise reduction processing based on the environment. The Speak to Chat feature automatically adjusts the noise reduction function during conversations, allowing users to maintain conversations while wearing the headphones. The headphone function can also be adjusted based on different usage needs through the app.
For example, while riding the Kaifeng train, there was a lot of noise from the shaking and running of the train along the way, but the active noise reduction function of the WH-1000XM6 allowed the music to be heard clearly. At the same time, the Speak to Chat function also made it very convenient to talk to people while still wearing headphones.
Other features include the addition of 360 Reality Audio technology to the headphones, as well as the ability to upgrade stereo audio to spatial audio through 360 Upmix technology. This time, the customizable EQ sound field settings have been increased from the original 5 levels to 10 levels, and a spatial audio enhancement mode has been added to meet the needs of watching movies. In addition, Game EQ settings created by the INZONE team have been added to make the headphones more suitable for gaming needs.
The battery life is said to be up to 30 hours of continuous use. Acoustic adjustments are also made to ensure that continuous listening without affecting hearing. The headphones are also designed to be comfortable to wear for extended periods of time.
