AI assistant combined with ChatGPT technology
One of the biggest highlights of Evernote v11 is the all-new AI Assistant, developed in collaboration with OpenAI. This feature allows users to search, generate, and supplement content directly within notes, supporting natural language interaction. Users can chat with the Assistant to organize data, add itinerary information, and even generate note summaries.
Officials stated that future expansion will include features such as automatic labeling and batch management. All data processing adheres to strict privacy regulations, and OpenAI will not use user content as model training material.
The decade-long wait for semantic search finally arrives
Another highly anticipated new feature is Semantic Search. Unlike traditional keyword searches, Semantic Search uses contextual understanding to find relevant notes. Even if a note doesn't contain specific keywords, it can automatically match the notes based on their meaning. For example, a search for "Barcelona trip" will correctly identify a note even if it only mentions the nearby city of Girona. This feature is considered one of Evernote's most anticipated updates.
Recording and AI transcription fully upgraded
Evernote has also expanded its recording and transcription capabilities. Based on the AI Transcribe transcription technology launched in 2024, version 11 can automatically record the content of online or in-person meetings and generate summaries in real time.
This feature will be available in all Evernote language versions, further enhancing cross-platform work efficiency.
