Last year, Huacheng Electric announced a partnership with ASUS to develop charging stations that can identify electric vehicles by license plate identification. This time, Huacheng Electric announced the launch of charging piles in Taiwan that can handle 480kW charging power, with an output voltage of up to 1000V and support for both CCS1 and CCS2 charging standards. In addition, the cabinet can be adjusted to meet installation needs, adjusting the charging power to 240kW, and a single cabinet can charge up to four electric vehicles simultaneously.
Compared to the charging piles previously deployed in Taiwan with a maximum power of 360kW, Huacheng Electric emphasizes that the charging piles launched this time can not only output a maximum charging power of up to 480kW, but also charge at a maximum of 1000V, and the gun line supports a maximum current output of 500A. It also supports both CCS1 and CCS2 specifications, and can even be adjusted to 240kW according to the needs of the area of use. Up to four electric vehicles can be charged simultaneously through a single cabinet design.
Huacheng Electric Power stated that it will initially deploy 480kW charging stations near highway interchanges to meet the needs of electric vehicle owners who need to quickly replenish power. At the same time, it also plans to connect with the charging needs of electric buses or electric logistics fleets in the commercial market.
Prior to this, Huacheng Electric Power has continued to build 20 EVALUE DC fast charging stations and 220 AC charging stations in Taiwan, with stations spread across 84 locations across Taiwan. The total power of all charging equipment connected can reach 5765kW. The next plan is to achieve the goal of deploying 500 AC charging stations and 30 DC fast charging stations by the end of this year.
As for the stations, they will also develop towards diversified operations and actively expand more diverse station types. The current scope covers science parks, convenience stores, 3C home appliance stores, shopping department stores, large hypermarkets, hotels/B&Bs, gas stations, tourist attractions, parking lots, restaurants, community buildings, etc., including 7-ELEVEN, Tsann Kuen 3C, Uni-President Resort, Jin Hongsheng, Kaohsiung SKM Park and other commercial places, to meet the daily charging needs of electric vehicle owners.
In addition, Huacheng Electric also simultaneously released the newly revised EVALUE App 2.0, which has undergone significant revisions to the icons. Through different color identification and real-time updated information, it helps car owners quickly understand the availability of nearby AC charging stations and DC fast charging stations, and can also easily explore information about nearby partner stations.
