Epic Games said that Samsung has added an automatic installation blocking mechanism to its new mobile devices, which by default only allows users to download and install application services through the Google Play Store or Samsung's Samsung Galaxy Store. Although there is no direct evidence, Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney believes that Google and Samsung are working together to restrict users from installing and using third-party applications obtained from other channels.
However, if users previously downloaded APK files using the Chrome browser, Google would restrict users from installing them by default unless they manually turned off the relevant option. This restriction is not limited to Epic Games products, but also includes many third-party application services that are blocked from installing in APK form by default.
Epic Games has already won some of its lawsuits against Google and even against Apple, forcing Apple to allow the Epic Games Store service to enter the iOS platform as a third-party software market.
