This livestream not only confirmed that the next major update, "Chaos Cubed," will officially launch on June 16th, but also revealed details of the third update, expected to launch in the fall of 2026. As the highlight of the next version, Mojang has officially revealed the full details of the "Chaos Blocks" update and confirmed its release date as June 16th. The game will add special landscapes such as sulfur caves, sulfur springs, sulfur pools, and sulfur spikes, and will also add sulfur, cinnabar series blocks, and the core "sulfur block".
The sulfur block will introduce a brand-new physical gameplay element to the game. The block's movement properties will change as it absorbs substances, allowing players to experience different physical states such as bouncing, sliding, moving at high speeds, or moving slowly. This mechanism is expected to unlock richer traps and parkour gameplay for redstone players and map creators.
