Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated earlier,Tesla's self-driving taxis The (robotaxi) is tentatively scheduled to launch in Austin, Texas on June 6 of this year.
At the same time, Elon Musk also revealed that the first Tesla car that can automatically drive from the production plant to the customer's home will be completed on June 6.
Prior to this, someone on the "X" platform posted a short video of a black Model Y with the word "Robotaxi" printed on the side, driving on the road, stopping at a zebra crossing to yield to pedestrians. In a recent interview, Elon Musk also stated that he would initially conduct a test with 10-20 vehicles to confirm that the Model Y equipped with FSD fully autonomous driving can operate normally on public roads.
As for safety, Elon Musk stated that Tesla is quite paranoid about safety issues. He also revealed that the operation range of self-driving cars will be limited by geo-fencing, and employees will ensure the safety of self-driving cars through remote monitoring, so that the driverless taxis that will be officially put into operation in the future can be used with confidence.
However, Elon Musk also said that the current tentative time may also change due to safety considerations.
