As the proportion of pet-owning households in Taiwan continues to rise, the air quality issues associated with cohabitation are receiving increasing attention. Swedish appliance brand Electrolux, recognizing this need, has launched the "Extreme Home 500 Pet Allergy Air Purifier" in Taiwan, designed specifically for pet-owning households. Featuring a specially designed five-stage filtration system, it claims to capture 96.5% of airborne hair within 30 minutes of using pet mode, effectively removing over 99% of cat and dog dander and six common odors.
This air purifier is specifically designed for pet-friendly homes. It features a 0.27mm pet-specific filter with electrostatic holes and a Velcro-type design for easy removal and cleaning, making it reusable. It also features a honeycomb granular structure with double the activated carbon to quickly absorb common odors such as ammonia and sulfur dioxide in pet-friendly homes.
In addition to the filter design, the air intake is 3cm low to the ground and features a 360° circular air intake design, effectively capturing allergens brought in by pets who roam the floor. A CASR rating of 7.04 can quickly purify a 16-square-meter space, ensuring air quality in every corner.
To enhance the user experience, Electrolux has also incorporated a number of user-friendly designs, including a sleep mode with a minimum operating volume of only 20dB, a safety lock design to prevent pets from accidentally touching the appliance, and support for APP remote control and scheduling functions, allowing owners to keep track of the air conditions at home at any time.
The suggested retail price of the Electrolux Zenhome 500 Pet Allergy Air Purifier is NT$14900. It is expected to be launched in Taiwan from November. It will also cooperate with the pet health brand Mokurushen to launch a joint discount plan.
