EAAnnounceThe acquisition of TRACAB Technologies is expected to combine its advanced tracking technology with EA SPORTS' games to make its sports games more realistic and immersive.
With TRACAB Technologies officially joining EA SPORTS, EA stated that it will further enhance the application of artificial intelligence, machine learning and real-time sports data through motion optical tracking and data analysis technology to enhance the realistic action and authentic sports simulation experience in the game.
The acquisition of this project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of EA's fiscal year 2026, but the specific acquisition amount was not disclosed.
TRACAB Technologies' advanced optical motion tracking technology captures every on-field action at 60Hz per second, generating 6 million data points per match, including 65 unique data points for each player and referee. This precise data is derived from real-time tracking of 21 body joints and analysis of key data such as individual skeletal data, player data, and ball data, creating a more realistic and dynamic simulation.
In addition, EA also plans to combine TRACAB Technologies' technology with EA SPORTS technology and game engine, and allow players to experience new creation and sharing features in the EA SPORTS App. It also expects to make the EA SPORTS App a global interactive sports platform.
