EA announced that it will merge its EA Access and EA Origin Access subscription services starting from August 8th, US time, and change toEA PlayAs the official name of the new subscription service.
Under this adjustment, the EA Play event that originally interacted directly with players will be renamedEA Play Live.
In further explanation, EA stated that the original EA Access and EA Origin Access will be merged into the new EA Play service, and the previously launched EA Origin Access Premier will be changed to EA Play Pro to maintain the separation of different levels of subscription plans.
Apart from the adjustment of the subscription plan, the player experience is actually not much different. Players can still use more than 100 EA games through subscription and can be the first to try out the latest games. It also provides a 9% discount on the purchase of digital games, and more discounts will be added in the future.
In addition to EA, Microsoft has also launchedNew Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which includes Xbox Live Gold membership and Xbox Game Pass subscription service, and you can also choose to use the Project xCloud streaming game service.
