To address the need for styling frizzy hair, Dyson announced the addition of a new anti-frizz nozzle accessory to its Supersonic hair dryer. It also uses the "Coanda effect" instead of high temperature to achieve the airflow smoothing effect, claiming to be able to smooth up to 62% of frizzy hair in one go, allowing users to quickly solve the frizz problem without having to wet their hair or use styling tools.
According to Dyson, the new anti-frizz mouthpiece accessory was developed by consulting 80 stylists in 420 professional hair salons and collecting more than 1 billion data points in more than 11.4 hours of experiments. It was inspired by the usage pattern of a hair dryer + comb for blowing, and combined with Dyson airflow technology. Through the aerodynamic principle of the "Coanda effect", the airflow will lift longer hair strands during the blowing process, so that frizzy and messy hair can be hidden under the longer hair, thereby rearranging the hair and creating a self-glossy visual effect.
Because Taiwan has an island climate, the hot and humid summer can easily cause women's longer hair to become frizzy, frizzy, flat, and so on. Therefore, Dyson explains that the smoothing nozzle accessory first quickly dries the hair, allowing the hair cuticles to quickly close and retain moisture, and uses the gentle drying nozzle accessory to reduce the temperature by 20% to fluff the roots of the hair. Then, the new anti-frizz nozzle accessory can be used to replace high temperature with airflow to smooth frizzy hair. Later, the curling comb and styling nozzle accessories can be used to complete the hair styling, such as creating slight curls at the ends of the hair.
The new anti-frizz mouthpiece accessory launched this time will become a standard accessory for the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer. At the same time, Dyson also announced the launch of a new combination kit, available in three colors: peach pink, full peach pink and black steel, with a suggested retail price of NT$14600.
