Dropbox recently launched a search tool combined with artificial intelligence, called Dropbox Dash, to improve work efficiency and simplify workflow.
According to the report, content workers typically spend 8.8 hours a week searching for file content, and 69% of users spend almost 60 minutes a day switching between different applications. Therefore, Dropbox hopes to use artificial intelligence to simplify such workflows and enable users to be more efficient.
The Dropbox Dash service, which incorporates artificial intelligence, will allow users to quickly find the data they need using the search field and quickly locate files scattered across folders. Furthermore, Dropbox Dash can connect to services such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Outlook, and Salesforce, allowing users to find the data they need across connected network services.
Dropbox Dash can also remember search methods, making it easier for users to find the required information next time, or as a shortcut to specific content. The console can also be used as the "starting point" for using the Dropbox Dash service, making it easier for users to confirm what information they have recently searched for, or as a starting point for work.
In the future, Dropbox Dash will further integrate the function of automatically generating artificial intelligence application dialogue, so as to act according to the content of users' spoken questions.
Currently, Dropbox Dash is only undergoing small-scale testing, and the specific launch time has not yet been confirmed.
