Drones are now a popular photography product for many people. Compared with traditional cameras, mobile phones and other photography tools, drones have great advantages in shooting angles and ranges, and can even produce images from a "God's eye view". This time, I had a brief experience with DJI's latest drone.Mavic 3 Pro, and experience the shooting experience of changing to a three-lens design, adding the new 10-bit D-Log M color photography mode, and continuing the lens technology cooperation with Hasselblad.
Compared to previous drone products, current drone designs have incorporated more technical assistance functions such as artificial intelligence and computer vision, allowing users to reduce errors during operation. At the same time, there is almost no chance of drones losing control or being damaged due to collisions, connection problems, etc. The power system design even incorporates early warning functions, allowing drones to successfully return to their original takeoff position before power loss.
The Mavic 3 Pro is also designed to use positioning methods such as GPS to confirm whether the current location is a no-fly zone, or allow users to import digital credentials to unlock flight restrictions.
The Mavic 3 Pro's appearance is similar to the Mavic 3 series, but it primarily adds a 70mm-equivalent focal length lens to its camera module. It features a 4800-megapixel, 1/1.3-inch sensor, and an f/2.8 aperture. It also supports 4K 60 fps video recording, boasting suitability for capturing architectural and vehicle-themed subjects. It can also maintain natural color gradations and image detail in high-brightness, contrasting scenes like sunsets.
Other features include a 43-minute flight time, omnidirectional obstacle avoidance, and the APAS 5.0 system. Flight functions include cruise control, focus tracking, and master shots. Other features include vertical shooting, or gimbal stitching to capture wider images.
圖像傳輸部分則採用DJI O3+系統,最高可在15公里範圍內傳遞1080p 60fps影片內容,甚至可額外配合無線數據模組以4G網路進行傳輸。
From a practical standpoint, the Mavic 3 Pro offers a relatively straightforward user interface. Once you've paired the drone with the controller, you can easily launch it and fly at a speed that suits your needs. It can also capture shots that are difficult to capture with standard cameras. This makes it a great investment for those looking to add interest to their footage or enhance the appeal of their videos.
However, since drones consume significant power when operating at high altitudes, a fully charged single battery typically only lasts about 30-40 minutes. Therefore, if you plan to shoot for extended periods or have frequent takeoffs, it's recommended to prepare a few extra batteries.
