DJI officially announced the launch of a new drone called "AVATA" with the theme of "Born to Fly". It focuses on an immersive flying experience and claims to be able to be operated directly through somatosensory control.
Judging from the product design of "AVATA", it is obviously built for the needs of racing flights. It is advertised as being able to fly in a smaller size and avoid collisions that cause damage to the rotors through an embedded protective cover. At the same time, it can also support stable 4K video shooting and low-latency image transmission.
With the use of flight goggles and a joystick, you can intuitively operate "AVATA" through handheld rotation through somatosensory means, and use the flight goggles to feel the "line of sight" range of "AVATA", thereby bringing a more immersive flying experience.
The AVATA is easy to carry and use due to its compact design and embedded protective cover to prevent damage to the rotors from collisions or drops. There is no need to worry about accidents during use. Even if the fuselage flips over and falls to the ground, the "anti-turtle" mode can be used to smoothly flip the fuselage and continue to return to its original position for flight.
In addition, "AVATA" is equipped with downward-looking binocular vision and ToF infrared sensing systems to sense obstacles below the fuselage and enable low-altitude flight or indoor flight. It also has safety escort, one-button emergency stop, and automatic return to home functions when the battery is low or control is lost.
影像傳輸距離則最遠能在10公里範圍傳輸1080P解析度、100fps規格的H.265編碼影片,同時最高影像傳輸率可達50Mbps,最低延遲為30毫秒。
"AVATA" will be sold at a starting price of NT$33380, and will be available in two versions: the Smart Package and the Advanced Package. As for the "AVATA" stand-alone machine that does not include flight goggles and cross joystick accessories, the suggested retail price is NT$15890, and it will be available for order from now on.
