In addition to being built with Samsung's 7nm process, both processors are Qualcomm's first processors to integrate a 5G networking chip design. However, the 5G networking chip integrated is not Qualcomm's current top-of-the-line Snapdragon X55, butThe third 5G networking chip Snapdragon X52, the maximum download speed is only 3.7Gbps, and the corresponding upload speed is 1.6Gbps.

However, compared with Snapdragon X55 and Snapdragon X50, Snapdragon X52 also supports sub-6GHz frequency bands and millimeter wave technology. It also supports FDD, TDD connection modes, and carrier aggregation technology. It also supports SA independent networking and NSA non-independent networking, and supports dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS) technology. It also allows users to maintain a stable connection between existing 4G networks and 5G networks, and can also operate through 5G LTE network connection when there is no 4G network signal.

In terms of hardware architecture, the Snapdragon 765 uses the Kryo 2.3 CPU (Note 1), and an Adreno 20 GPU with a 620% increase in rendering performance. It also introduces Qualcomm's 5th-generation Snapdragon AIE artificial intelligence computing engine and the Hexagon 696 collaborative processor equipped with a tensor accelerator, and enhances the Elite Gaming experience. It also uses artificial intelligence technology (probably machine learning) to extend the battery life by up to 200 days and supports Qualcomm's fast charging technology.

The Snapdragon 765G is basically based on the Snapdragon 765, and the Kryo 475 CPU operating frequency is increased to 2.4GHz (Note 2), and an additional 10% increase in Andreno GPU performance, while also improving artificial intelligence computing performance, corresponding to 5.5 teraflops of artificial intelligence computing power. It is also equipped with the Hexagon 696 coprocessor with a tensor accelerator, and provides a more complete Elite Gaming experience, such as more realistic 10-bit HDR picture performance.

The Snapdragon 765 and Snapdragon 765G are expected to be used in a variety of mobile phone products in the first quarter of 2020. OPPO also plans to use this processor in the Reno 30 series, which is expected to be unveiled in mid-December.
