On the other hand, Dell emphasized that its PCs, monitors and accessories products are expanding the use of more recycled or renewable materials, including low-emission aluminum, bio-based plastics, recycled cobalt, recycled steel and recycled copper. It also used more than 9500 million pounds of recycled and renewable materials throughout last year.
As for packaging, by fiscal year 2024, 96.4% of the packaging materials will be reusable, renewable or recyclable. In the future, accessories such as PC expansion bases and backpacks will be distributed in 100% recyclable or renewable packaging.
As for its AI PC and display products, Dell emphasized that its products currently meet EPEAT Gold with Climate+ and the new TCO Gen 10 certification.
Other approaches include using QR codes on PC products, allowing customers to quickly scan and access technical support pages. Some Alienware models also include QR codes that allow players to easily obtain upgrade, repair, or replacement information, thereby reducing the use of paper manuals.
At the same time, Dell also emphasized its long-term goal of reusing or recycling an equal amount of technology products for every metric ton purchased by 2030.
