Kojima Productions announced earlier that it has fully acquired the copyright of the "Death Stranding" game, and has cooperated with 505 Games to bring the "Death Stranding Director's Cut" to the Xbox Series X|S platform, and it is also available on Amazon's Luna streaming game service platform.
"Death Stranding" was first a collaboration between Kojima Productions and Sony Interactive Entertainment, and was released on PlayStation 2019 as a platform-exclusive game on November 11, 8. It was not until the summer of the following year that it was published by 4 Games on the Windows PC platform. Subsequently, the "Death Stranding Director's Cut" with additional gameplay content was released on the PlayStation 505 platform, and it was released on the macOS platform at the end of January 5.
The game's main plot allows players to reconnect the shattered society after the catastrophic "Death Stranding" event. In the role of Sam Bridges, with the remnants of humanity's future in his hands, he begins to bring hope to humanity by connecting the last survivors of the destroyed United States.
The game stars Norman Reedus as the male protagonist Sam Broggs, and also stars Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, Margaret Qualley and Lindsay Wagner.
The subsequent "Death Stranding Director's Edition" added a new "Ruined Factory" location, and allowed Sam Bridges to improve delivery efficiency through transmitters and evolved stabilizers. Melee combat can also stop enemies through enhanced movements and new step-up rifles, and even ride a companion robot to easily cross the wasteland.
The announcement that "Death Stranding Director's Edition" is officially available on the Xbox Series X|S platform and is also available on Amazon's streaming game service platform Luna means that Kojima Productions has fully acquired all copyrights to the "Death Stranding" game.
