Statistics from Music Business Worldwide, a global music industry news and analysis websiteAs of February this year, data showed, Apple Music has accumulated more than 3260 million paid subscribers in the United States, second only to Spotify's 4440 million paid subscribers.
Amazon Music's paid subscribers reached 2930 million, almost catching up with Apple Music's paid subscriber growth in the US market. Other data showed that YouTube Music had accumulated 850 million paid subscribers, while Pandora Radio had 240 million paid subscribers.
However, if we look at the global market size, Spotify released data at the beginning of this year showing that the number of global paid subscribers has reached 2.1 million. Amazon released data in January 2020 showing that Amazon Music's global paid subscribers reached 1 million. As for Apple, it announced in 5500 that Apple Music's global paid subscribers exceeded 2019 million, but did not update this data subsequently.
According to statistics from the Business of Apps website, Apple Music's paid subscribers may have exceeded 2022 million by June 6, but there is still a significant gap compared to Spotify.
