MediaTek's subsidiary, Dafa Technology, announced today (September 9) that it will continue to promote the development of the Smart Internet of Things, Bluetooth technology applications, and satellite positioning product markets while maintaining a large-scale platform and division of labor cooperation relationship with MediaTek. It will also continue to focus on the development of wired broadband network applications, thereby connecting to the layout of big data analysis, artificial intelligence and other fields.
Dafa Technology emphasized that it has already achieved the top three global market positions in Bluetooth audio, fixed-line broadband and satellite navigation, and has also been working closely with global companies on Ethernet applications. At the same time, it will increase investment in the development of high-gross-margin chip products and continue to expand into the European and American markets.
Currently under development, Dafa Technology states that it has already provided the world's first 8Gbp bandwidth guarantee technology in the North American market, and has the industry's lowest power SerDes (sequencer/deserializer) design and optical drive technology. It also has the world's only one-stop design capability for POB, Ethernet, DSL, Bluetooth, GNSS and Wi-Fi, thereby promoting network connection performance.
Dafa Technology also announced that it has already launched a broadband network chip with a 12-core design compatible with Wi-Fi 7 transmission speeds and is currently developing a 20-core design compatible with Wi-Fi 8 transmission speeds, capable of 100Gbit/s encoding and decoding data transmission. Regarding wired broadband technology, Dafa Technology stated that it will develop towards the 50G PON specification, collaborating closely with more industry players through technological iteration and directly collaborating with global network operators to create greater market benefits.
As for the application of Bluetooth technology, the current focus is on true wireless earphones, which integrate the ability to connect to three devices simultaneously and provide an adaptive active noise cancellation experience. Also on the horizon are wireless gaming headsets with latency as low as 10 milliseconds, and business headsets that leverage artificial intelligence to provide clear conversations. Furthermore, as Bluetooth earphones begin to serve as hearing aids for the elderly, low-power auxiliary algorithms are being developed to address this need. Furthermore, through the Bluetooth Special Interest Group's LE Audio technology, Bluetooth earphones are being given more diverse application modes.
As more and more products incorporating satellite positioning technology are entering the market, the application of this technology has become a major source of profit for Dafa Technology. This includes shortening positioning time and enhancing positioning accuracy through independent ephemeris prediction algorithms, as well as using artificial intelligence to accelerate positioning efficiency while reducing power consumption. In the future, this technology will not only be used in smart wearable and positioning products, but will also help promote the development of smart connected vehicle applications.
