Universal Robots (UR) announced today (April 4) that its Collaborate event, the collaborative robotics conference, will return to Taiwan for the first time on May 17, 2025, at the Sheraton Hsinchu. This international event, which has traveled extensively across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, will be held in Taiwan for the first time. The event will showcase its latest AI Accelerator product and bring together industry experts from around the world, including TÜV SÜD, Mecha-Mind Robotics, and Robotiq, along with partners in the UR+ ecosystem, to showcase the latest breakthroughs and practical experiences in collaborative automation.
Participants also experienced up close more than 20 sets of collaborative robot actual application demonstrations, focusing on key industry application scenarios such as semiconductors, electronic components, metal processing, and medical and pharmaceutical industries, fully stimulating innovative thinking and moving towards a new era of smart manufacturing.
Collaborative robots help transform the industry and create highly flexible automation competitiveness
As manufacturers around the world face the challenge of a growing labor shortage, Universal Robots offers a powerful solution: collaborative robots that are easy to deploy, flexible, and scalable. UR robotic arms, powered by the intuitive PolyScope platform, help companies maintain high productivity and competitiveness without complex programming or lengthy integration processes. Central to this strategy is UR+, the world's largest ecosystem of certified collaborative robot solutions. UR+ offers over 500 plug-and-play components and solutions, enabling manufacturers to quickly and confidently build customized automation solutions with guaranteed compatibility and stability.
In high-growth markets like Taiwan, flexibility is crucial. The International Federation of Robotics (IFR) ranks Taiwan among the top 15 countries in the world for robotics adoption. Universal Robots is honored to help accelerate digital transformation in Taiwanese industries, helping businesses overcome labor shortages and move toward intelligent upgrades.
AI Accelerator and UR Care support programs officially launched in Taiwan
Facing the future trend of the convergence of AI and robotics, UR will unveil its new AI Accelerator at this event. Powered by the NVIDIA Jetson Orin embedded computing module and deeply integrated with the new PolyScope X software platform, it provides developers with enhanced computing performance and system integration capabilities, enabling faster development, easier implementation of intelligent applications, and significantly shortening development and time to market.
In addition, the newly launched "UR Care" support program will also be one of the highlights of the event. Through preventive maintenance and a comprehensive support mechanism, it will help companies extend the service life of robots, reduce the risk of unexpected downtime, and ensure maximum benefits from automation investments.
Cross-disciplinary experts gathered together, and more than 20 sets of real machine demonstrations led to new application horizons
Collaborate Taiwan 2025, the international collaborative robotics event, is expected to invite over 20 domestic and international industry experts to share collaborative robotics technology trends, implementation strategies, and practical experience. Over 20 collaborative robot applications will be showcased on-site, allowing you to experience the latest collaborative robot applications up close and personal, inspiring innovative automation thinking. In addition to Universal Robots' own cutting-edge technologies, the event will also bring together several key partners within the UR+ ecosystem to showcase cutting-edge solutions across multiple sectors, including:
• TÜV SÜD:It will bring the "Adaptive Security System (AS3)", combining AI-driven real-time risk assessment and situational awareness analysis to comprehensively improve security and operational resilience in dynamic collaboration scenarios.
• Mecha-Minder Robot:The "3D Vision & AI Inspection Solution" will be showcased, using high-precision 0.2D positioning and AI vision technology that can reach 0.5-3mm to solve the problems of accurate grasping and secondary positioning of out-of-order incoming materials.
• Robotiq Inc.The "Intelligent Stacking Solution (PE20)" will be presented to improve stacking efficiency. It can not only handle loads up to 25kg, but also takes ergonomic design into consideration to reduce labor intensity and the risk of work-related injuries, helping factories build safer and more efficient automated production lines.
