During CES 2022, Chipolo announced the launch of CARD Spot, a card-shaped positioning tracking accessory. It also added support for Apple's "Find My" function, which can quickly find the location of the accessory through the huge network established by Apple devices locating each other.
However, because it is made in the form of a thin card, it also sacrifices the design of being reusable through charging or replacing batteries. The card itself only has a battery life of about 2 years.
In order to persuade consumers to continue using the card, Chipolo will offer a discount of half price on replacement products. At the same time, a prepaid return envelope will be included in the box of the original product, so that users can save the additional cost of mailing the original card back.
Designed to look like a regular card, CARD Spot is waterproof and equipped with a 105dB speaker, allowing users to use the app to emit a sound to help locate lost items. It can also be located using Apple's Find My app and retrieved on any device that supports Find My.
CARD Spot is now available for pre-order, available as a single or dual card set for $35 and $60, respectively. Chipolo is also releasing a bundle that includes the previously released coin-shaped tracking accessory, ONE Spot, and the newly released CARD Spot for $77.
